Reverse Harvesting Model
Reverse harvesting is the method of estimating a user’s style profile without inputs from the harvesting game. It uses implicit data gathered from the user’s activities (such as clicking, sharing, adding to cart and buying) on the website. It is based on the premise that user’s behaviour on the website is a reflection of her subconscious style orientation. So, we can try to assess her style types and attributes from her behaviour.
Reverse harvesting is needed for two reasons:
- For categorising users on the basis of only the historical data of the website
- For categorising users who have not played the harvesting game
